1. Provider and scope

The Roomagine app and this website (roomagine.ai) are provided by:

By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Roomagine was previously known as RoomGenius; the provider is unchanged.

2. What Roomagine is

Roomagine is a mobile app for iOS and Android that redesigns rooms with AI. You photograph or sketch a room, choose a style, and the app generates redesigned images of that room, along with written design suggestions and — if you ask for them — matching furniture products from third-party shops. Generating designs consumes credits, which you can buy in the app.

3. Technical requirements

You need an iPhone or iPad running iOS 13 or later, or an Android device running Android 8 or later, and an internet connection. Generating designs and matching products happens on our servers; the app cannot produce new designs offline. The app may not work correctly on jailbroken, rooted or otherwise modified devices; using it on such devices is at your own risk.

4. Free trial and accounts

You can try Roomagine before creating an account: the app grants a small number of free designs per device. The current allowance is shown in the app. The trial is limited to one per device. To enforce this, the app verifies through your device's operating system (Apple App Attest on iOS, Google Play Integrity on Android) that it is running on a genuine device, and we keep a technical record of devices that have used their trial. Devices that cannot be verified may be unable to use the trial; creating an account remains open to them.

Creating an account requires a valid email address. When you sign up, your trial converts into your account and any unused free designs carry over. Each person may register only one account, accounts may not be shared, and accounts created by automated means are not permitted. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account.

You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings or at roomagine.ai/deleteaccount/. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; where the violation is remediable, we will normally warn you first.

5. Credits and payment

Designs are paid for with credits, sold as one-time credit packs through the Apple App Store or Google Play. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges. The price of each pack is shown in the store before you buy; the credit cost of generating a design is shown in the app before you generate.

Credits do not expire. They are tied to your account, are not transferable to other accounts, and cannot be redeemed for cash. If you delete your account, remaining credits lapse — the app warns you of this before deletion. Your credit balance is stored on our servers, so it survives reinstalling the app or moving to a new device once you sign in.

All payment processing is handled by Apple or Google under their own terms; we never receive your payment details.

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for purchases of digital content. When you buy credits, the purchase flow of the Apple App Store or Google Play asks for your consent to immediate delivery; with that consent, the right of withdrawal expires once the credits have been delivered to your account, as provided by law.

Because purchases are made through the stores, refund requests are handled by them: for Apple purchases at reportaproblem.apple.com, for Google Play purchases through your Play order history. We have no authority over the stores' refund decisions. Your statutory warranty rights against us remain unaffected.

7. Acceptable use

You may use Roomagine only lawfully and only for what it is for — redesigning rooms. In particular, you must not:

• submit photos or sketches you do not hold the necessary rights to, or content that violates applicable law or third-party rights;
• attempt to circumvent the free-trial limit, the credit system, device verification, or any other technical restriction;
• access the service by automated means or interfere with its operation;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the app, except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law;
• remove or obscure copyright or other proprietary notices.

We may block access to the service, terminate the agreement, or involve the competent authorities where these rules are violated.

8. Your content and your designs

Your photos remain yours. By submitting a photo or sketch, you grant us the non-exclusive right to process it — including through the AI providers named in our privacy policy — solely to generate the designs, suggestions and product matches you request. If you choose to share a result with us as feedback, you additionally grant us the non-exclusive right to use the shared photo and design to analyse and improve the service. Beyond that, we claim no rights in your content.

Your designs are yours to use. You may use the designs generated for you for any purpose, including sharing and publishing them. To the extent we hold any rights in generated designs, we grant them to you. Note that AI-generated images are produced by a statistical model: similar inputs can produce similar outputs for other users, and no exclusivity in the visual style or elements of a design can be promised.

The app itself — its software, design, graphics, trademarks and documentation — remains our property or that of our licensors. Your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app on devices you own or control.

9. AI output, product suggestions and shop links

Generated designs and written suggestions are visualisations and inspiration, not professional advice. They are produced by AI and may contain errors: depicted furniture may not exist as shown, proportions and materials may be inaccurate, and structural or safety aspects of a room are not assessed. Do not rely on them as a substitute for an architect, structural engineer or interior professional.

Product matches are automated suggestions of visually similar items from third-party shops. The shop you are linked to is your sole contracting partner for any purchase; prices, availability and product details are theirs, may be outdated in the app, and are not offers by us.

10. Your designs are stored on your device

Generated designs are stored in the app on your device, not in a library on our servers. If you uninstall the app or lose your device, the designs on it are gone — we cannot restore them. The app's export and import tools let you move your library to a new device; doing so before switching devices is your responsibility. Your account and credit balance are stored server-side and are unaffected.

11. Availability and updates

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Design generation depends on third-party AI providers whose outages are outside our control. We may modify the app and the service, and may discontinue features or the service as a whole with reasonable advance notice; your statutory rights — including those relating to credits you have paid for — remain unaffected. Updates are distributed through the app stores; keeping the app current is required for continued service.

12. Warranty and liability

Your statutory warranty rights for the app and for purchased credits apply. That an AI-generated design does not match your taste or expectations is in the nature of the service and is not, by itself, a defect.

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and under any guarantee we have expressly given. For simple negligence, we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations — obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible at all and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely — and only up to the damage that is foreseeable and typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded.

13. App store provisions

These terms are an agreement between you and us, not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. Where the app was obtained through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Privacy

How we handle personal data — including your photos, the free trial's device verification, and the AI providers involved — is described in our privacy policy.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside.

If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Düsseldorf, Germany. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The current version always appears on this page. We will announce material changes in the app or by email with reasonable advance notice; if you do not agree with a change, you may stop using the service and delete your account. Changes do not retroactively affect credits you have already purchased. This version replaces the previous terms of 17 July 2023.
