Reviewed 17 August 2026. We created a RoomGPT account and checked its credit allowance, Pro render cost, generation time and furniture features; we also searched its site for an official mobile app. At the smallest US pack sizes checked, a RoomGPT Pro design costs about three times as much as a Roomagine design. Taxes, regions and offers vary, so check their site for the current state before deciding.

RoomGPT is a browser tool that takes a photo of a room and returns it restyled by AI in a chosen theme. It was one of the first tools of its kind and is a reasonable place to have started — this page is for people deciding where to go next.
Is Roomagine a good RoomGPT alternative?
We think so, but Roomagine is our own app, so read that with the obvious discount. The concrete differences: a full iOS and Android app while we found no official RoomGPT mobile app, 24 named styles plus a free-text prompt, up to four versions per render, sketch and empty-room input, and furniture matching that turns the design into real, buyable products in nine countries.
Is there a free way to compare them?

What if I need floor plans or 3D modelling?
Then neither RoomGPT nor Roomagine is the right tool — both work from photographs. Planner 5D, Homestyler and RoomSketcher are 3D planners: more setup, measurements and modelling, in exchange for floor plans and walkthroughs.
Do these tools redesign the room I have, or invent a new one?
